We are a school where being a ‘geek’ is not a bad thing – in fact, it’s cool, for both pupils and staff. Our pupils are exceptionally well behaved: you really will spend your planning time on instilling a love of physics, not just controlling behaviour.
As Head of Physics, you will take responsibility for leading a team of geeks – people who truly love their subject. Your leadership will ensure that pupils come to love physics as much as you and your team do.
We have a plethora of professional development opportunities. For instance, if you want to take a Masters degree (delivered on our school site by the University of Worcester) we will fully fund it. Our CPD is nationally-renowned and bespoke training packages mean you can advance quickly to the next stage of your career.
Parents love what we do. It’s why we’re so oversubscribed, with 4 times the amount of applications for every place we have. Teachers love working here too, which means pupils love their learning. We offer triple science to a large proportion of our key stage 4 pupils and we always run healthy-sized groups of A level physics so you will have lots of opportunities to specialise. Every member of the team is given the opportunity to teach the full age range if they want to.
