The Role
- Notre Dame Prep School seeks an inspiring, dynamic and experienced drama practitioner and teacher to lead the department and direct the school productions. There is a currently a strong tradition for inclusive drama at the school and excellent facilities, including a drama studio and purpose built theatre.
- To provide professional leadership and management for the subject within the school
- To secure high quality teaching, effective use of resources and the highest standards of learning and achievement in Drama for all pupils
- To audit resources, and manage a budget
- To lead School Drama Productions
Knowledge/Skills/Ability
- Qualified Teacher Status
- Proven outstanding classroom practitioner Significant, recent and relevant evidence of continued and progressive professional development
- Evidence of outstanding teaching/classroom practice and its impact on pupil progress
- Strategies for improving the quality of teaching and learning and accelerating pupil progress
- Strategies for school improvement and raising standards of achievement in school
- A creative teacher who motivates and inspires children to do their very best
- Highly organised with excellent time-management skills
- Ability to effectively manage pupil discipline and be committed to a high level of pastoral care
