We are a successful and dynamic Jordanian school encompassing both a renowned Arab heritage with the luster of a well know British institution. We teach 1250 students from Early Years to Year 13. 70% of our students are Jordanian and 30% international. We are forward-thinking with a strong legacy, a vibrant school community and a purposeful strategic vision. We offer a curriculum based on the National Curriculum of England with Cambridge Checkpoints in Yrs. 6 and 9, IGCSE, AS and A2 programmes.

The school is looking for a Head of Primary who can join the Academic Leadership Team and contribute to our dynamic future development.

Applicants should:

  • be an experienced, outstanding educator, a lifelong learner and have the ability to shape and lead school strategy and development
  • Preferably have leadership experience in an international context
  • Have a demonstrable track record of implementing strategies that improve learning for all
  • Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, in order to deal effectively with the wide range of families that make up our school community
  • Have the ability to lead and inspire a team of dedicated teachers
  • Have fluent English
  • The Principal and Board of Governors are keen to find a leader who is passionate about Education and is excited at the prospect of joining a team dedicated to maintaining and developing the strong academic and international characteristics of the school.

The appointment is effective from the 6th August 2017, and is full-time and permanent.

Repton New English School is a co-educational independent all-through school with a sixth form. It is based in Amman in Jordan. 

The school was founded in 1986 as the New English School. It offers an English only stream as an alternative to a traditional bilingual education and boasts a student body comprising around 35 nationalities. The School’s pre-IGCSE programme is based on the National Curriculum for England and Wales and provides the foundation for AS and A Level studies. Moreover, the Cambridge International Primary Programme has been fully introduced at the school since the academic year 2010/2011. Repton New English School is a member of the European Council for International Schools and the Council for International Schools, linking it with similar international schools throughout the world. It is a recognised Teaching Institution and Examinations Centre accredited by both the Edexcel and Cambridge International examination boards. The school is also an accredited training centre for the Cambridge International Diploma for Teachers and Trainers.
