The school opened in September 2011 and quickly established itself as an exceptional and dynamic place for children to learn. In our recent International Schools Quality Mark (ISQM) accreditation, we were recognised as Gold Level and were identified as being outstanding in all 8 standards during the accreditation visit.

The Head of Primary PE will be a member of the whole school PE Department as well as having responsibility for the sporting development of the Early Years and Primary students. Supported by the Head of PE & Sport, they will work closely with a small team of teaching staff as well as with the EYC and Primary class teachers and Primary Leadership Team. The Head of Primary PE will also be responsible for the continued development of an excellent sporting co-curricular programme and organise fixtures and competitions both across the local area and beyond. Experience or an interest in developing female team sports would be desirable. 

Applicants for the position should:

  • be an experienced primary PE practitioner with a genuine passion for the development of physical activity and sport across the primary school
  • demonstrate a ‘Sports For All’ pedagogy in the planning and provision of an exciting, varied and challenging curriculum from Early Years to Year 6
  • be an excellent sporting role model to all members of the school community and perform with integrity and professionalism
  • have the ability to inspire students and staff in PE, raising the profile of sports across the primary school
  • develop a effective and positive collegial relationships with the PE team and other staff across the school
  • collaborate with the Head of PE & Sport in the allocation of staffing and resources
  • monitor teaching and learning activities to ensure they meet the needs of students
  • maintain and enhance systems for identifying, assessing and reviewing PE teaching  
  • keep parents informed about their child's progress through regular reports, Parents’ meetings and appropriate communication.  
  • be flexible and willing to lead a variety of activities and sports, with a commitment to taking teams to competitions after school hours and occasionally at weekends
  • have excellent communication skills and a positive work ethic in order to work collaboratively and effectively as part of a team
  • possess humour, energy and the ability and willingness to go above and beyond, positively contributing to the development of our school
  • be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 (this is a requirement of the Ministry of Education)
  • possess a recognised teaching qualification with a minimum of 3 years teaching experience


2023-24 will see our Primary School relocate into a brand new building attached to the existing campus via a linkbridge. Applicants should be ready to work at both campuses, as well as the EYC.

The International School @ ParkCity (ISP), located in the exclusive residential area of Desa ParkCity (www.desaparkcity.com), Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, opened in September 2011 and as established itself as a special and dynamic place for children to learn.
