Pearling Season International School, Qatar (PSI) first opened its doors in September 2014 and currently educates girls and boys from Pre-school to Year 12 on an attractive campus located 15 minutes outside of central Doha. The school provides premium education for expat and local families looking for a British, International Curriculum. PSI has gained a reputation for providing outstanding education and has seen enrolment increase across the School. We have established an excellent team of staff and outstanding facilities which promotes the heritage of strong pastoral care and inclusion.

We present an exciting opportunity to play an important part in the development and growth of our school and are looking for an outstanding Head of Primary who is excited to join our team of educators at PSI. The successful candidate will provide and lead the strategic direction for the Primary school, in accordance with the aims of the school and the curricular policies. They will aim to raise standards of student attainment and achievement within the whole curriculum area and to monitor and support student progress. They will be responsible for managing and deploying teaching/support staff along with managing the financial and physical resources within the department effectively.

Qualifications:

  • 4-Year Bachelors Degree/PGCE in Education and QTS
  • Minimum 5 years teaching experience using the UK National Curriculum
  • In-depth knowledge of curriculum development and effective pedagogy
  • Sound understanding of assessment, recording and reporting
  • Understanding of strategies for school improvement
  • Knowledge of how the effective use of data and target setting can raise standards
  • Up-to-date knowledge and understanding of current educational issues.
