Head of Primary School

CIS Armenia International School is seeking a Head of Primary to join our leadership team in taking us forward into the next stage of our development. This is due to our present Head of Primary being promoted to Campus Primary Principal. This is an exciting opportunity to lead our growing primary school through the next phase of its educational journey and to work as a key member of the Senior Leadership Team.

 CIS Armenia is the leading international school in Armenia, providing an exceptional education based on the Cambridge Curriculum for the children in our care. We employ a talented team of fully qualified expatriate teachers, qualified local teachers and local associate teachers to deliver a comprehensive and well-rounded educational programme. Our fast-growing school community has more than 60 educators and 230 students. Learning at CIS Armenia begins with Foundation Stage One in our well-resourced Early Years department and our building currently hosts Primary and Secondary classes up to Year 13. We are a young school; this is our seventh year; however, we are ambitious and committed to providing continuous improvement for our students and our school community. The next phase of our development will be a move into larger premises where we can continue to enhance and expand our resources and facilities. We aim to provide an outstanding learning environment for our students from Early Years, through Primary, into Secondary and as they undertake their IGCSE and A Level Programme courses.

Qualifications preferred for the new Head of Primary at CIS Armenia:

• Masters/Advanced degree in educational leadership

• Primary QTS E.g. B.Ed or BA +PGCE in Primary Years
• UK experience would be an advantage or BSO school.

• A proven record of educational leadership and British Curriculum Framework

• A proven record of successful teaching and learning in the Primary phase

• Outstanding leadership abilities in motivating, inspiring and challenging both staff and students in order to strengthen and promote the mission and to bring to life the values of CIS Armenia International School

• A commitment to child protection and safety
