About the School

Baleares International College (BIC) https://balearesint.net/campuses/sa-porassa-campus is the largest British Curriculum school in Mallorca, providing education based on the English National Curriculum to over 460 students (from 3 to 18 years) in Sa Porrassa, a very accessible but beautiful rural area adjacent to the south west coast of Mallorca.  We are accredited by the Spanish Ministry of Education based upon inspection and recommendation by the British Council and are a founding member of the National Association of British Schools in Spain (NABSS).  The school is also a member of COBIS, the Council of British International Schools.

About the Opportunity

The school is seeking to appoint an experienced Head of Primary who will be responsible for the teaching and learning of students, curriculum development and delivery across all Key Stages in the primary age range, as well as the pastoral needs of these students. The post which would suit an innovative and experienced teacher and leader. 

The Head of Primary will work closely with the Principal, Head of Secondary and with a strong team of teachers in the school. In this role you will support the delivery of the school's mission and vision, through the implementation and constant monitoring of the academic programmes.

The role requires an individual who can successfully motivate and manage by delegating responsibility, setting clear expectations and targets and evaluating performance, to ensure all pupils and staff are empowered to excel and surpass expectations.

The successful candidate will be an integral member of the Senior Leadership Team and play a key role in the development and implementation of the school’s strategic plan. BIC is at a very exciting stage in its development and is anticipating an increase in student numbers as it broadens its curriculum and extends and diversifies its learning opportunities.

Wk. beginning 18th February:   2nd round interviews with Principal
Wk. beginning 4th March:  Final interview with Principal and Regional Head of School
