Job overview

An exciting new role has been created at ACE Schools in Plymouth to take an operational lead of our secondary reintegration and  intervention base at Bretonside in the centre of the city.   We are seeking to appoint an exceptional, dynamic and inspirational Head of Provision who has a track record in providing consistent improvement in pupil outcomes.

This is an excellent opportunity to take on a truly unique role, leading the day to day operations of a base that supports young people from across the city who have been permanently excluded or need a highly bespoke provision to support their education.

The key priorities for pupils at Bretonside  are to ensure that we provide them with a package of academic/personal education and support that allows them to reintegrate back into schools or gain them routes into post–16 education.

Our vision for the role is that the Head of Provision, along with the Senior Leadership Team will create a culture of optimism, partnership, resilience and achievement, in order to support young people to a better life through education and to prepare them for the challenges they may face.

If you have a strong record of raising standards and have a commitment to school improvement, as well as the passion and determination to make a difference then we want to hear from you.

A job pack is attached to this advert and a full job description in contained within. If you feel that this could be the right position for you in the next phase of your career would love to hear from you.

Visits to the school and a conversation with the Head Teacher directly are warmly welcomed and encouraged. To arrange a visit, phone call, or for an application pack, please call the HR office on 01752 396118 or email recruitment@aceschools.net

ACE Schools Plymouth is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and will be undertaken before a confirmed offer of employment is made to successful applicants.

ACE Schools Plymouth AP Academy (part of Transforming Futures Trust) was formally set up on 1st June 2016 with the aim of building on the solid foundation established by the previous PRU. ACE Schools operates around Plymouth from at least eight different locations and provide education and support services throughout the community to support pupils to access education in schools, medical facilities or their own homes.
