Tes is supporting the appointment of an energetic, highly motivated Head of Psychology with the vision and ambition to inspire and enthuse students at a secondary school based in Buckinghamshire.
The school strongly invest in the Social Science subjects, their Head of Psychology will take responsibility for the teaching of the subject across sixth form and will help them to broaden the experiences of students within Social Sciences. The school are open to ideas that inspire and help students to enjoy the subject as much as possible and are looking for a candidate who can build on the rich and challenging curriculum that is already in place.
Purpose of the role
- Ensure a safe environment that protects and cares for the students and staff
- To be learning-centred and proactively focus on the development, sharing and monitoring of best practice in teaching and learning within the subject area and department in order to promote the best possible progress as a reflection of each young person reaching their full potential.
- Provide leadership as part of the subject area in partnership with the Head of Faculty to contribute to the operational and strategic development of Beaconsfield High School to ensure a happy, high achieving community for all students.
- Make effective use of resources and budgets, including IT, for the development of staff and students.
