Head of RE and/or Sociology

South Lincolnshire Academies Trust (encompassing Bourne Academy and Spalding Academy), are seeking to appoint an inspirational, dynamic, highly motivated, innovative, enthusiastic, well-qualified and committed Head of Sociology and/or Head of RE to work at the Bourne Academy site.    

Bourne is an attractive market town offering affordable housing in a beautiful area and with easy access to London, Nottingham, Cambridge, Leicester and Peterborough (London Kings Cross is only 45 minutes by train from Peterborough).    

This is an exciting opportunity for an aspiring Head of Department.    

The successful candidate will have:  

• Qualified teacher status; 
• Be able to teach their subject specialism (either RE or Sociology) to Key Stage 3 and 4;
• The ability to motivate students and achieve excellent results; 
• Excellent organisational and ICT skills; 
• The capacity to work collaboratively as part of a team; 
• A passion for the subject and the ability to share this with young people.
