We are seeking a dynamic Head of RE to lead a highly motivated department in a curriculum spanning all key stages. The subject has a high profile in the College, benefits from excellent facilities and enjoys good results at KS3, KS4 and KS5. The successful applicant will have the energy, enthusiasm and commitment to build on this success and take the department forward in its delivery of an outstanding learning experience for all students.

As well as guiding the department through the reformed RE curriculum, the successful applicant will work closely with the PSHE Lead to ensure an exceptional provision of personal development for students at the College, preparing them for life in modern Britain.

The Head of Department will be joining a team of exceptional teachers who are passionate about the role that the subject plays in the spiritual, moral, social and cultural development of young people. All KS4 students take full-course GCSE RE (EDUQAS) and there is an excellent uptake of the Philosophy A-level (AQA) offered in the Sixth Form.

Middle Leaders at the College are given the freedom to develop their department area in accordance with their own vision for the subject as well as the core values held by stakeholders across the college and wider community. As a designated EEF Research School, we work with colleagues across various networks to give Middle Leaders access to a rich programme of ongoing professional support and development. This includes the Senior and Middle Leadership Programmes for which Kingsbridge Community College are the providers in the South West.
