Latymer Upper School is a leading, fully co-educational independent school in West London. Situated minutes from Ravenscourt Park Station, our school community is friendly, energetic, outward-facing and forward-looking. 

We are looking for a full-time and experienced Head of Department who is a specialist in Theology/Religious Studies or Philosophy and preferably both. You will lead a collaborative working environment within which staff develop and extend their teaching styles and invigorate the work of the department. You will also be able to demonstrate your particular interests, stimulating our students beyond the confines of examination specifications.

The Department of Religion and Philosophy currently has seven full-time staff who teach throughout the school.

We offer a generous teaching pay scale, significantly above that of the maintained sector.

Welcome to Latymer Upper School. We are a vibrant, forward-thinking and co-educational independent secondary school in West London. Established in 1624 by the generosity of Edward Latymer and located in Hammersmith since 1895, the School upholds its founding principles of generosity and educational excellence.

With around 1,400 students, the success of our Inspiring Minds campaign started by the Latymer Foundation in 2017, means that by the end of our 400th year, we will be in a position to offer one in four students a bursary.
