We are seeking a forward-thinking and innovative Head of Religious Education, ready to lead a strong team within an outstanding secondary school based in south Leicestershire. In addition to delivering KS4 and 5, we have welcomed our first cohort of year 7 students this September.
The department currently consists of five teachers who work closely together to deliver great student outcomes. All students take the AQA GCSE RE course in year 10, with the majority continuing to year 11. At A level, we offer OCR Philosophy, Theology & Ethics, which attracts strong student numbers.
We are looking to appoint someone who can lead by example, is an excellent and enthusiastic teacher and is confident they are able to deliver high quality lessons. The desire to share good practice with the team and a can-do attitude is essential.
The school offers ongoing professional development opportunities to all staff and career progression based on performance. This is a great opportunity to join a friendly and supportive employer of choice, who can offer further professional development to any that show potential, willing and want for it.
If you would like to come and have a look around to see us hard at work, don’t hesitate to make contact with our Reception Team to arrange a mutually agreeable time.
