St Alban's Catholic High School is a very popular and successful school serving the faith community of the south of Suffolk. The governors are seeking to appoint a practising Catholic to lead and inspire the Religious Education department.

You would ideally need to be able to teach up to A2 level. This post holds the line management responsibility for the work of our full time Lay Chaplain, along with leading the self-evaluation, and the development and monitoring work of the Catholic life of the school. Secondment to the Senior Leadership Team would be a possibility.

The school has an 'Outstanding' rating for Section 48 inspection and has a dedicated Chapel, and also holds the RE Mark Gold.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead Catholic Education in the only Catholic high school in the south of Suffolk. The school enjoys the active support of the Diocese of East Anglia and has recently applied to join the Our Lady of Walsingham Catholic Multi-Academy Trust.

About St Alban's Catholic High School

St Alban’s Catholic High School is a co-educational secondary school and sixth form with academy status located in Ipswich, Suffolk. It is the only Catholic High School in the Ipswich area and religious education forms part of the core curriculum. 

The School premises have been improved in recent years with the addition of a new sixth form block and library and the refurbishment of some existing facilities.
