         HEAD OF REMOVE (YEAR 7)   

We wish to appoint from 1st September 2017, a suitably qualified teacher to join our Pastoral team as Head of Remove (Year 7).  Pastoral care is a real strength of our School and this is a key position in the Pastoral team. The successful candidate would be expected to lead a team of tutors and oversee the well-being of all the Remove  (Year 7) girls, as well as organising the various events, trips and activities related to this year group. Liaison with our feeder Schools and our own Junior School will be an important feature, as well as the effective marketing of our School to prospective parents.  Experience of pastoral care in a similar positon in a girls’ independent school will be essential for this position.   

The successful candidate will be required to have a significant teaching commitment in the Senior School; some Junior School teaching may also be possible. Enthusiasm, compassion, warmth, common sense, a sense of humour and an appreciation of the challenges facing girls as they grow up, are all essential requirements. The position is full-time.

About Queen's Gate School

Queen's Gate School is an all-through independent day school for girls aged 4-18, housed in five Victorian buildings in South Kensington, London. There are around 500 pupils on roll, with a wide range of ethnic and cultural backgrounds, reflecting the diversity of the city.

Queen's Gate School was founded in 1891 by Miss Eleanor Beatrice Wyatt in her parents' home. The present site was acquired in 2005. The school is an educational trust overseen by a board of governors.
