Job overview

Are you an experienced Residential Services leader with a proven track record at strategic level?

Are you looking to progress your career as a key member of the Senior Management team?

We have an exciting opportunity within our well-respected, not-for-profit charitable trust. We are looking for a Head of Residential Services to join our Senior Management Team and drive the development of our provision forward to meet the growing demand for places in our residential special school and college for young people aged 6 to 25 years. Accountable for services across four school and college residences, and in collaboration with Education, Therapy and Finance leaders, you’ll be fully involved in delivering strategic objectives for the organisation as a whole.

The successful candidate will bring inspiring and aspirational leadership skills to the role; you'll know how to develop your large team and improve outcomes for the young people in our care. Equally important will be your own values, attitude and approach. You'll be enthusiastic, resilient and good with people. You’ll be able to make critical decisions that will motivate, develop and encourage a shared culture of reflection, learning and continuous improvement. You’ll have incisive analytical skills and a demonstrable capacity to turn ideas into robust and effective outcomes.

You’ll hold an appropriate RQF Level 5 qualification, ideally with a relevant post-graduate specialism, and you’ll be able to evidence your commitment to ongoing CPD. You will be highly knowledgeable regarding inspection regimes and be confident navigating your way through complex legislation and evolving regulations. An appreciation of the anthroposophical approach which underpins our culture is also key.

This is a wonderful opportunity to work in a beautiful natural environment with a highly motivated and multi-cultural team. Our staff and Trustees convey high levels of passion and huge commitment to providing innovative care as part of the waking day curriculum which complements the educational development, skills, interests and aspirations of our students. We pride ourselves on our inclusive and holistic approach and you can expect strong team support to help you deliver your brief.
