Job overview

Join an exceptional multi-academy trust.
High performing academies across Bradford and Leeds.

We are looking for an exceptional Head of School to lead Dixons  Kings Academy into the next stage of its development. The current Principal  will be supporting a new school joining the Dixons Academies Trust; therefore, a Head of School is required to take operational control of the school on a daily basis.

At Dixons Kings Academy, our mission is to ensure everyone  receives the support and care needed to become successful and lead a purposeful  and happy life. To achieve this goal, we believe that everyone must uphold the  three values of integrity, diligence and civility. Our behaviour systems  ensure teachers can teach and students can learn. Living by this mission meant that last year  58% of students achieved Basics at 5+ and 48% achieved the EBacc.

Working for the Dixons Academies Trust, you will fully align  to our vision and values and have a strong commitment to doing whatever it  takes to secure the best possible outcomes for our students. This is an  incredibly exciting opportunity to join a forward thinking trust with an utter  moral drive to make a difference to the lives of young people.

Our family of schools includes both primary and secondary,  both new start-ups and sponsored academies. Our diversity is a real strength  of our model, balancing strong collaboration with the individual freedom to  innovate. We have a solid platform from which we continue to build; our trust  will continue to expand, from 4,900 students now to over 8,000 by 2018.

This is an ideal opportunity and a unique environment for an  ambitious Vice Principal or equivalent to gain outstanding, supported training  to work towards becoming a future Principal. The successful candidate will be:

· able to motivate and inspire students and  staff to achieve exceptional outcomes

· focused on building strong professional  relationships across the academy

· committed to our unrelenting expectations

· aligned to a can-do culture

· committed to the happiness, wellbeing,  self-esteem and progress of everyone at the school

Applicants are strongly advised to visit the academy; as  such, please make an appointment with the Principal's PA on 01274 449706.

Please apply using the Dixons Academies Trust’s application  form and include a formal letter which addresses the person specification,  with particular emphasis on measurable impact.

We positively  welcome applications from all sections of the community. The academy is  committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young  people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Successful applicants will need to provide a  current DBS certificate via the Update Service or undertake a DBS enhanced  clearance for the academy.

Closing date for applications: Friday 18 May 2018 (9:00am)

Interviews / selection: w/c 21 May 2018
