We are excited to be recruiting to this new post we have created in our senior leadership team. Heatherwood is a highly successful and passionately child-centred special school for children and young people with profound and multiple learning needs and complex special educational needs.

Heatherwood is an academy within Nexus Multi Academy Trust and serves 68 amazing children and young people from EYFS through to Key Stage 5 who are very well supported by a highly dedicated and hard-working team of professionals.

At Heatherwood, our vision is that we will become a recognised centre of excellence for pupils with profound, multiple or severe learning difficulties and associated medical conditions from 0-25 years. We will achieve this by: actively promoting equality to ensure all are valued by society; being a recognised hub of supportive services for families and professionals; celebrating success and achievement at all level; and seeking and embracing opportunities – we are one step ahead.

We are seeking an individual with strong child-centred values, resilience and a proven ability to lead the next exciting phase of Heatherwood’s journey.
