HCUC is a thriving Further Education College in West London.  The College has secured outstanding Qualification Achievement Rates in successive years and recently went through a very successful OFSTED inspection, achieving outstanding for quality of education. We are now seeking to recruit a Head for our Engineering – Technology and Innovation School based at the Uxbridge campus, who will be responsible for leading the Motor Vehicle and Building Services/Construction and the Built Environment sections.  

The School delivers programmes from Level 1 to 5, some of which is integral to the West London Institute of Technology provision.  We have invested in leading edge equipment and technology to develop learners’ skills to meet industry changes. We are at the forefront of developing and delivering industry standard professional academic and vocational courses.  

We are seeking an individual with management experience gained within Further Education with a very good record of achievement, preferably within one of the above curriculum areas.   You will be qualified to Level 3 (minimum) in a relevant subject area and will have a good understanding of the needs of the sectors within the remit of this post, together with experience of curriculum design with employers to meet their needs. You should have good knowledge of relevant awarding body regulations and experience of quality improvement in an FE environment.  You should also have good team leadership and management, and the drive and commitment to continue our excellent record of student retention, achievement and progression.
