The Lion Academy Trust is a non-profit making educational charity with over twenty years of experience in running schools in and around London. Along with its sister trust, the Lion Education Trust, our companies comprise of nine primary sector schools in London, Essex, Northants and with future expansion planned.
The Trusts exist to support and assist schools to build upon their prevailing strengths and so achieve rapid educational transformation. Our Trusts consist of both traditionally sponsored academies and schools that have chosen to convert to academy status.
We are very proud of our track record of school improvement and have worked tirelessly to maintain the very high standards that we have for all our children. We remain in the top 10% of trusts in the country. This is due to the very strong outcomes at each key stage which is something we are looking to strengthen year on year.
The Executives Forum, comprising of the Executive Head teachers and Heads of School working alongside the Trust Executive Team, is the key decision-making group in the Trust. We have also engaged a number of high profile Senior Executive Advisors who support the schools with specific development projects and monitoring impact outcomes.
We run a series of internal networks for NQTs, subject, EYFS and year group, SEN and Inclusion leaders. Alongside our internal programmes we also facilitate and host licensed national programmes such as National Professional Qualification for Senior Leaders, Middle Leaders and Heads of School.
The Trust provides a range of cost effective central services to our academies such as Human Resources & legal support, health and safety, finance and procurement. Through economies of scale we are able to achieve significant savings, which are redirected back into teaching and learning.
We value the continued professional development of ail staff and offer our own bespoke training programme for all teaching and support staff. We have an annual programme of training sessions for all leadership, senior, middle and year leaders through to NQTs and comprehensive training for our operations, administration, classroom support, site, midday and extended services staff.
We also offer staff ‘Lion Perks at Work’ where huge savings can be made across a range of categories from utilities, retail savings, holidays to cinema and theatre tickets, childcare voucher scheme, Employee Assistance Programme, free eye care tests for DSE users.
The Lion Education Trust Board of Directors are seeking to increase capacity by appointing a Head of School who is a dynamic, ambitious committed and enthusiastic leader, who will proactively demonstrate skills and inspire staff. The successful candidate will also work closely as part of the Trust Executives team and the Trust board to move our schools forward, ensuring that our pupils have the best possible education and school experience.
