Head of School / Foundation

Established in 1879, Lakefield College School is one of Canada’s oldest and most respected independent schools.  Located 90 minutes from Toronto, Lakefield’s 315 acre campus is home to 365 boarding and day students (grades 9 to 12) and a deeply caring and committed faculty and staff.  Lakefield’s mission is to challenge and enable students to reach their individual potential in mind, body, and spirit. The school offers an enriched academic and co-curricular program, with an emphasis on leadership, values, and character development, as well as personalized, experiential, and relationship-based learning.

The new Head of School / Foundation will be a strong and respected educational leader, with a track record of fostering a dynamic and healthy school community, mentoring and developing staff and faculty, and encouraging students to be their best. The Head will be a visionary, with the skills and experience to engage all members of the school community in creating a blueprint for the school’s future. He or she will also bring a deep understanding of the importance of philanthropy in enabling independent schools to best serve their students.  Above all, the Head will be a person of exceptional integrity and character, with superb interpersonal skills, and an ability to forge deep and meaningful relationships across the school’s broad community.
