Head of School

We want to appoint a Head of School, an experienced school leader who is ambitious for and committed to the life chances of all our young people. Has a deep knowledge and understanding of high-quality curriculum development and delivery. Has the skills and drive to lead the continuous improvement of our school, its curriculum and learning.

The Head of School will lead the education department and education team. They will work with the charity executive to ensure the school has a strong culture of engagement and a focus on the wellbeing of staff and learners.

LS-TEN is a small Charity based in Leeds who along with an Independent School operate a skatepark and deliver youthwork across the city. Our school has children that have struggled in mainstream education and require a different approach. LS-TEN operated as an alternative provision prior to registering as an independent school and now require a leader with a strong understanding of the independent school standards and Ofsted inspection framework.

We currently work with 28 children a day, including learners with SEMH and SEND needs. They are supported by a committed and enthusiastic education team made up of teachers, tutors and learning support workers.

Our Head of School will work closely with the Chief Executive Officer, the charity executive and board of trustees to ensure our independent school continues the development of its offer.
