The Role – Head of School

We are seeking an experienced and inspirational leader for our East London Independent School, Stratford, East London.

The Complete Education Solution (TCES)

TCES is a family-owned group of Good and Outstanding schools and services for pupils aged 7 to 19 with an Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC) and/or Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. We are committed to achieving the best outcome for each pupil and their family through access to outstanding education and family support.

We provide a sector-leading therapeutic education and pupil leadership curriculum across our two day schools (Newham and East Acton), rated by Ofsted as Good and Outstanding respectively, as well as Create Service, which works with more complex students who need intensive support as part of our ‘step down’ model. In 2020 we launched TCES Home Learning to provide a full curriculum for children who are unable to physically attend school for a variety of reasons, including severe anxiety and school phobia. 

Due to our ambitious growth plans we currently have a number of exciting leadership opportunities and you will join TCES at an exciting time of change and innovation. 

Having celebrated the organisation’s 20th anniversary with a prestigious event at the House of Commons and the launch of our research report A Journey of Change: From Social Isolation to Inclusion with Goldsmiths, University of London in late 2019, 2020 has already seen further changes including a full organisational rebrand and soon, a completely new website. 

In our schools, we are completely reshaping how therapy is included within our bespoke educational packages via our ‘Great Minds Therapy’ initiative, and will be launching a new ‘Nurture’ service in 2021. 

Other concurrent programmes you will be involved with at TCES include our unique Alumni Mentorship and LIFE Programmes, which seek and create Young Leaders out of our pupils and bring them straight into full-time employment, training schemes or further education. Each of our schools also follow their own opted specialism, including Creative Arts and PE, Fitness and Wellbeing.
