About Niton Primary School

“Niton is a 'GOOD' school. It is a maintained primary school serving the local area, which is located at the southernmost point of the Isle of Wight. Unrivalled in the beauty of its location by any other Island School it is the absolute pride of the local community. Niton is part of The Cornerstone Federation with The Bay CE Primary School.

Pupils are drawn mainly from the parish of Chale, Niton and Whitwell where there is a mixture of owner-occupied, shared ownership and social housing. The school also  attracts pupils from the wider Ventnor area whose parents value the enriching experience a small community centric village school can offer.

Niton Primary School is housed in a charming building with excellent sports and outside facilities.  We have a fantastic and dedicated team of staff who aim to provide an exciting learning environment of the highest standard, to give the children the best possible start to school.

Our pupils are the cherry on the cake. I would challenge you to find a more delightful, polite, articulate and knowledgeable group. We are all very proud of them and they are the reason we wish to recruit the absolute best person to inspire them.

Our pupils are delightful and take a great pride in their learning and in their school. Our staff is equally committed. They are hardworking, professional and work very well as a team.

The school’s ethos is built around values of openness, respect, responsibility and friendship. We have high expectations of each other and place particular emphasis on nurturing the potential of individuals and celebrating the achievements of all.”
