Hampton Gardens is an 11-19 free school which opened in September 2017. Currently, there are 210 students in years 7 – 10, 180 students in year 11 and a small number of Sixth Form students (57). Hampton Gardens operates its Sixth Form jointly with Hampton College, which is located on a neighbouring site. It is planned to expand the Sixth Form provision offer the coming years, with full capacity expected by approximately 2023/24.

Hampton Gardens is part of the Hampton Academies Trust who also run the highly successful and popular Hampton College, Hampton Lakes Primary School and Dogsthorpe Infant School.

We are looking to recruit an outstanding, resilient and committed Head of School to join Hampton Gardens in September 2022. This post arises from the current Head of School retiring from headship at the end of this academic year. 

As Head of School you will be a highly visible leader and the public face of the school. This role provides an exciting and unique opportunity for a person with senior leadership experience wishing to develop their career and to lead the school on to truly great things.

Working closely with the Executive Headteacher, the trust, local governors, the senior leadership team and a fantastic team of teachers and support staff the successful candidate will:

• Have a proven track record of effective school leadership, whether as a serving
       Headteacher or Deputy Headteacher 

• Lead Hampton Gardens both operationally and strategically

• Demonstrate outstanding teaching practice and inspire the very best in classroom
       practice from colleagues

• Be an inspirational and proactive leader who works collaboratively with colleagues

• Place the needs and wellbeing of our students and staff at the heart of what we do

• Work with the senior team and staff to establish outstanding rates of student attainment and progress

• Work in an outstanding, state of the art school building.

Hampton Gardens is an 11-19 free school which opened in September 2017 to an initial intake of 180 Year 7 students. When full, the school will accommodate 1200 students in years 7-11 and 300 students in Sixth Form. Hampton Gardens is part of the Hampton Academies Trust who also run the highly successful and popular Hampton College all-through school,Hampton Lakes Primary School and Dogsthorpe Infant School. HAT schools have very close links and some shared staff.
