Exceptional Opportunities for Learning
The Governors and Executive Headteachers of the REAch2 Reading Family of Schools are looking to appoint a highly effective and dedicated teacher to lead Civitas Academy as Head of School from September 2016.
The ideal candidate will be a passionate, creative, motivated and enthusiastic leader, with a history of excellent classroom practice across the primary range, who is able to inspire the entire school community towards excellent outcomes.
Are you looking for a new, exciting challenge? If so, Civitas Academy could be the school for you. We are a brand new school in the heart of a vibrant, diverse community in Reading where we are committed to learning ‘Hand in Hand’.
The Head of School post represents an exciting opportunity for a candidate looking to develop their leadership skills within a very strong and supportive professional network. You will have the opportunity to work with a secure team of committed staff, enthusiastic children and a growing, supportive family base.
As Head of School, you will be able to focus on fostering a strong and safe culture of learning amongst pupils, and a rigorous culture of continued professional learning and enquiry for all staff. With support from the Executive Headteachers and REAch2 central staff, you will lead the senior leadership team in fully utilising their skills, expertise and focus on the school's teaching and learning development work.
The family of schools is well supported by a Strategic Local Governing Body and Regional and Trust Board, made up of skilled and committed members who have been instrumental in working with existing school leaders over the past three years of school improvement.
Founded in 2012, REAch2 Academy Trust is the largest primary-only academy trust in the country. It is a growing charitable organisation currently supporting over 50 primary academies across England, including 3 in Reading. REAch2 is a family connected by a common desire to learn from each other, share experiences and be mutually supportive across the entire academy community. We work as a team to deliver exceptional learning opportunities for all pupils in REAch2.
