Job overview

The Trust and Governing Body are seeking to appoint an outstanding leader to be our next Head of School - Secondary.

It is an exciting time to join our Trust as Tudor Grange Academy Solihull has just secured Teaching School Hub status. We are now seeking an inspirational leader to work with an Executive Principal at our Tudor Grange Samworth Academy in Leicester. This is a progressive school with diligent hard-working staff and delightful pupils.

Tudor Grange Samworth Academy is a mixed, all-through school for children from 3 to 16 years of age. As a Church of England school, Tudor Grange Samworth Academy is guided by a caring Christian ethos and maintains its close links with St Christopher’s Church.

On 1st January 2016, the school became a member of the Tudor Grange Academies Trust. Historical difficulties meant that the school needed expertise and help to remove it from the category of “special measures”. The school sought a partnership that would enable it to develop excellence in all areas and enable all to flourish.

The Academy now requires a leader who can build on this vision and continue to drive change and improvement in the secondary phase of the academy. The successful applicant will be an exceptional person with inspirational leadership skills and the expertise to manage and lead the Academy’s future development. They will be well supported by the Trust, closely mentored by an experienced Executive Principal. It is our hope that the successful candidate will engage in professional development and learning so that they are appointable as a future Principal.

To request a paper copy of the application pack or to arrange a tour of the Academy, please contact Melanie Fletcher Warrington, PA to Executive Principal, by email: MFletcherWarrington@samworth.tgacademy.org.uk

Closing date: 11th March 2021.

Shortlisting: 12th March 2021.

Interview dates: 25th & 26th March 2021.

Safeguarding and welfare of children and young people with all staff collaborating in this commitment is at the core of the Trust. The successful applicant will be required to have an Enhanced DBS check in line with the government’s safer recruitment guidelines.

The Trust values the diversity of our workforce and welcomes applications from all sections of the community.
