St Andrews International School Sukhumvit 107 is seeking an outstanding and inspirational candidate to take up the position of Head of School in January 2018. The school would be prepared to wait until August 2018 for the right candidate if not available in January. We are seeking someone with the vision and enthusiasm to continue to drive the schools highly successful development into becoming a leading International School in the Bangkok area.

St Andrews Sukhumvit 107 is part of the very successful St Andrews group of schools in Thailand, as well as being part of Cognita. Cognita is a global schools network of almost 70 schools in seven countries, spread across three continents!

St Andrews International School, Sukhumvit 107 has a family atmosphere, where individuals are valued and where students enjoy a rich academic program within a broad and balanced curriculum. The school blends a combination of British National Curriculum and IBO programs, in its aim of providing a high quality, stimulating, child centre and holistic education. Extra-Curricular activities are an integral part of our students experience. The school is located within a vibrant and up and coming suburb of Bangkok, easily assessable by the sky train, with a station right outside of the school gate.

Currently the school has just under 500 students from over 30 different nationalities, making it truly International in feel. We are an all through school teaching from Early years (2 year olds) to the IBDP (18 year olds). Over the last couple of years the school has enjoyed significant growth in students and to support this, Phase II of the campus was opened in Autumn of 2015, adding further high quality facilities and the room for further growth and expansion.

The Head of School has overall responsibilities for the leadership, organisation and management of the school to ensure the delivery of;

  • An inspiring learning environment, which caters for a diverse student body, allowing each student to follow their interests and fulfil their potential.
  • A strong, strategic vision to allow the school to meet the needs of its students and staff
  • The develop leadership across and at all levels of the school
  • A plan for the growth of student numbers

It is anticipated therefore you will have;

  • Proven leadership and managerial experience in a high performing school
  • Real belief in a holistic education and understanding of benefits of International Education
  • Clear vision of what high performance looks like and how it is achieved
  • Knowledge of the British National Curriculum and the IBO Programs (PYP and DP)
  • Track record of being an outstanding teacher
  • The ability to recruit and manage a diverse multi-cultural team
  • Ideally previous experience of working overseas

Bangkok is a highly competitive international schools environment. Therefore, a strong focus on customer satisfaction and the ability to promote the school within the city is a significant part of the role. The new Head of School will join at a very exciting stage and will lead this school in its next stage of development.

The Head of School works closely and is supported by the other St Andrews Schools Heads in Thailand and reports to the Chief Executive Officer of Cognita Asia.
