The Governors are seeking to appoint a dedicated and highly motivated Head of School with a proven track record of successful leadership to lead our outstanding special school through its next phase of development, in partnership with the Executive Headteacher, staff, governors and parents. This new post will work closely with the Governors and the Executive Headteacher to promote high quality teaching and learning, excellent continuity and progression.

You will have:

  • Experience as a current school leader in a special educational needs setting or mainstream setting with a specialist SEN provision.
  • A genuine ability to lead and manage all stakeholders with strong values of respect, empathy, fairness, openness and honesty.
  • A clear ability to think and plan strategically with the vision and commitment to continue to develop our school to ensure our pupils have the very best life chances in a rapidly changing world.
  • The ability to lead and inspire our staff to achieve excellence.

Elms Bank Specialist Arts College is an outstanding community generic special school for pupils aged 11-19. We want to appoint a Head of School who will work with our professional and dedicated staff, our hardworking pupils and supportive parents.
