The sciences are a highly popular and successful subject area at KEFW. ‘Triple’ and ‘Double’ Science are offered at GCSE, and at ‘A’ level there are over 100 students studying each of Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
We are currently looking to appoint a well-motivated and ambitious professional to:
lead a highly successful department of 14 teachers and 4 technicians
lead a team who have a track-record of excellent results at both GCSE and ‘A’ Level
teach very able students
teach GCSE and A-level in a science and combined science in Years 7 and 8
KEFW is a very oversubscribed and “outstanding” co-educational grammar school on the edge of Birmingham. The staff and students enjoy their learning together and high academic standards are accompanied by an appreciation of fun and a commitment to enrichment beyond the curriculum. Our Science team is a key driver to the continued success at KEFW with many of our students going on to study A-Level and a number studying subjects like medicine, dentistry or veterinary science at “Oxbridge” and “Russell Group” universities.
