Outwood Academy Danum became part of the Outwood family of schools in September 2016, in a recent Ofsted inspection we were graded good and we are still improving to become outstanding. We are excited to share that we have a vacancy for a dynamic, forward thinking head of department to join our Academy. We are looking for an inspiring and energetic leader with a real passion for Science. You will be a motivated, enthusiastic and driven individual who has the skills and determination to make a significant difference to the lives of our students and share our single goal of ‘Students First’.
The department consists of a team of 11 teaching staff, 2 Science tutor and 2 technicians. As a member of the Outwood Family you will share our vision of “Students First” and be able to work collaboratively with our network of outstanding heads of science and senior leaders . You will be supported on your journey by our Directors of Science.
OGAT are proud to be a part of the National Institute of Teaching (NIoT) hosting its North and East campus as Outwood Academy Redcar and Outwood Academy Adwick. The NIoT identifies best practice in education, in order to develop cutting-edge, evidence-based teacher training and professional development programmes. OGAT colleagues will benefit from the work of the institute, which draws on the expertise of some of the most outstanding school leaders in education today.
