Head of Science
We are seeking to appoint an ambitious and inspirational Head of Science to lead a highly-committed team at Rednock School.
You will be an excellent classroom practitioner with the ability to inspire students and model excellence in teaching and learning. As a team player, you will support and challenge colleagues to excel.
This would be an ideal role for either an experienced Head of Department, or someone seeking to progress their career. This is a key appointment for Rednock School, and an exciting opportunity to motivate, inspire and further develop good practice.
You will be passionate about Science, with strong leadership skills and high expectations for every one of our students. The post will require the successful candidate to teach Science across the key stages, including A-Level, therefore an understanding of curriculum change and new qualifications is essential.
In return, we can offer you enthusiastic students, superb facilities and excellent opportunities for career development. The most recent Ofsted inspection, January 2018, judged that Rednock School continues to be a ‘good’ school. It offers excellent CPD for all staff, as well as a bespoke induction programme for new staff.
Rednock School is a rural 11-18 comprehensive, with excellent road links and spectacular views over rolling hills.
The post is full-time and permanent and will start in September 2018. Closing date for applications is 8am Monday 23rd April, and interviews will be held shortly after.
Please complete an application form and write a covering letter, of no more than three sides of A4, outlining how your qualities and experiences have prepared you for this role.
Further details about the school and Science department are available in the job specific documents, or on our website www.rednockschool.org.uk.
We look forward to hearing from you!
Rednock School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment. Rigorous checks will be undertaken of the successful applicant’s background credentials including enhanced DBS checks.
