A rare and exciting opportunity for a well-qualified and inspirational teacher of Science to lead and develop our specialist team. The successful applicant will be an outstanding practitioner who has the vision, energy and drive to further improve standards of achievement and ensure teaching is of the highest quality across all key stages. Science at Parmiter’s attracts a large number of students to the Sixth Form and there are currently 19 A level Science teaching groups. Over half the cohort study Triple Science at GCSE. Attainment at GCSE and A level is consistently excellent.
Parmiter’s is an exceptional school in which to teach, with highly positive and supportive relationships between the staff and students. Extra-curricular activities are varied and exciting. Parmiter’s coordinates Teacher Training for the Herts and Bucks Teaching School Alliance and offers a robust induction programme complimented by a bespoke CPD programme supporting colleagues at all stages of their careers. We are able to support the completion of an MA for candidates with the appropriate credits. Our admissions policy prioritises children of staff.

Parmiter's School relocated to the current 60 acre rural Hertfordshire site from London's East End in 1977. The site is currently undergoing a period of development and has recently opened a new £4m state of the art Science facility. The school enjoys a good reputation for traditional values and academic achievement whilst maintaining a true family feel among staff and students.
Experienced teachers, Early Careers Teachers and support staff benefit from a supportive leadership team who focus on personal development and wellbeing as a priority. Staff benefit from complimentary use of a new Fitness Suite facility.
Parmiter's leads the Watford Partnership for Teacher Training in collaboration with 11 local schools, the University of Hertfordshire and Herts for Learning.
The school is consistently over subscribed for Year 7 and Sixth Form entry. Children of staff are a priority for admission.
