HEAD OF SCIENCE DEPARTMENT
Start Date: January 2019 or sooner if possible
Location: Kettering, Northamptonshire
Salary: MPS/UPS + TLR negotiable
Benefits: Daily allowance for breakfast and lunch
We are seeking to appoint an ambitious and inspirational leader as Head of Science from September. You will be leading a large and progressive science department in the next phase of its journey.
The successful candidate will have:
· An excellent subject knowledge and have proven themselves an ‘outstanding’ classroom practitioner.
· A strong track record of improving outcomes for students and raising standards.
· The ability to motivate and lead others.
· A demonstrable ability to lead and develop innovative ideas that will drive progress in the department and ensure engagement of students.
You will be responsible for ensuring teaching and learning is of a high standard in the department and you will ensure that the curriculum supports the Academy and department’s academic and strategic goals.
