We require a highly committed and motivated practitioner who can ensure that the Science Department will grow from strength to strength. The successful candidate will have a high standard of teaching and learning and have the ability to lead strategies across the department to achieve this. They will have the capacity and ambition to be a key leader, with the ability to think strategically and creatively and work collaboratively across the College. Science is fundamental to our students and to the success of the College. The successful candidate will play a major part in developing and advancing this subject.
Excellent curriculum knowledge is essential and the ability to develop the existing GCSE and A level specifications will be vital. The successful candidate will be expected to teach Science to GCSE and another Science to A Level. The must possess the ability to enthuse and inspire students and staff by sharing their passion for the Science.
The post would suit an experienced leader of Science looking for a different setting with new challenges and opportunities or a Science teacher with some leadership and management experience possibly gained as Second in Department.
