Are you a passionate Science teacher looking for a middle leadership opportunity in a successful and expanding school? The College Alpin Beau Soleil is looking for an inspirational and ambitious Head of Science to work with us in growing this key curricular faculty.

Responsible for the overall delivery of Junior, IGCSE and IBDP Science programmes and reporting to the Director of Teaching and Learning, you will have the ambition and determination to support us in our aims of ensuring that every student exceeds expectations.   We welcome applications from exceptional, self-motivated and reflective professionals with the right blend of energy and experience, and a passion for teaching that embraces change and innovation.

The Head of Department will provide the top level leadership and management of subject teachers within his/her designated group of subjects. The Head of Science currently assumes overall responsibility for the delivery of Biology, Science and Physics within the Beau Soleil curriculum.   Their priority is to support the Director of Teaching and Learning in building academic success and maximising progress for all students.   They will encourage and support the members of their department in the provision of innovative and effective teaching and learning, whilst also ensuring that the management of both staff and resources is carried out efficiently and effectively.  They are responsible for ensuring that all schemes of learning are up to date and matched to exam board curricula.  They will be willing to engage with change within the school in order to promote and support best practice in teaching and learning.
