Job overview

The Swiss International School in Qatar is seeking an innovative and energetic Head of Secondary School from August 2020. 

SISQ opened its doors in 2017 and went through a successful triple IB authorisation (PYP, MYP, DP) last year in record time. There are currently 230 students from Grades 6 to 11 in the Secondary School. Next year will be a landmark year as we will be opening our first Grade 12 and graduating our first class of seniors.

The appointed candidate will need to continue developing and monitoring the Secondary School with the help of the Pastoral Leaders and MYP and DP Coordinators.

The successful candidate will have the following qualities:

- Proven record of successful leadership at Secondary or High School level

- Understanding of IB programmes and belief in the IB philosophy and pedagogy

- Excellent vision and leadership qualities

- An ability to foster a culture of care in the student and staff bodies

- Excellent organisational skills and an eye for detail

- A commitment to continuous improvement

- A commitment to child safeguarding

Swiss International School opened its doors in 2017 with an initial enrollment of 300 students from PK to grade 8. As Qatar's fastest growing school, SISQ now enrolls 800 students and offers a full IBDP program. We are slated for further growth and expect to reach an enrollment of 1,400 over the next few years.
