We are looking for an experienced and passionate leader to lead the Secondary School Team through the next stage of our development. Dover Court International School

Established since 1972, Dover Court International School in Singapore is one of the leading inclusive British international schools in South East Asia.
The school currently caters to students from age 3 to age 17 in the mainstream having introduced the IB Diploma Programme in August 2017. The curriculum is based upon the UK EYFS framework, the National Curriculum for England, the IPC and iGCSE/GCSE as well as the IBDP. The school is active in the local International School sports league and are extremely competitive across a number of sports. The school has an extensive programme of residential trips starting in Year 4 and continuing up into the DoEIA programme. All students are involved in a wide of after school activities mainly run by teaching staff. About 10% of our students are supported by the Department of Supportive Education (DSE) – our integrated SEN unit. The school is a member of both the Federation of British Schools in Asia (FOBISIA) and the Council of International School (CIS).

Staff are well supported with weekly CPD sessions run in-house and access to external training courses where they fit the school and personal development plans. There is a strong ethos of professional collegiality.

About the role

Join our fast-paced international environment, and you will lead the delivery of the UK National Curriculum and GCE and International Baccalaureate Diploma programmes. You will challenge your teachers and students to set ambitious targets for themselves and seek out and implement innovative teaching practices to enhance the student experience and outcomes.

Able to create a culture where there are no limits to what can be achieved, you will have a degree in your specialist subject, a teaching qualification plus considerable teaching and senior leadership experience and knowledge of the curriculum. Receptive to feedback and ready to embrace change, you will be keen to share best practice with colleagues and peers.

A strong ambassador for the school, you will be able to develop new ways to engage students and parents with the wider school and Nord Anglia Education community. Your strong motivation and communication skills will also enable you to create a feeling of energy, excitement and personal investment within the classroom.
