TBSC: WORKING IN THE SECONDARY SECTION
The British School Caracas was founded in 1950. We have slowly expanded over the years and are looking for inspirational teachers to join the team. We have 150 students in the Primary Section and 110 students in the Secondary Section. Our curriculum in the Secondary Section follows the English National Curriculum in Years 7-9, IGCSE in Years 10-11 and the IB Diploma programme in Years 12-13.
The Secondary Section is an exciting place to work! We are looking at increasing numbers in the next few years. If you would like to be part of these exciting times, we look forward to receiving your application. Our teachers are flexible, enthusiastic, motivated, excellent communicators and always willing to go the extra mile. We are committed to educating the whole child and are not simply a results factory.
We are looking for an inspirational, dynamic and forward-thinking Head of Secondary, with sound knowledge of the English National Curriculum, IGCSE and/or IB Diploma Programme. A minimum of five years’ teaching experience is required and ideally two years in middle management. In return, he/she will receive a flight to and from the place of hire at the beginning and at the end of their contracts, a furnished apartment, club membership and health insurance. A generous salary is offered.
Please apply with a letter of application that must highlight why you would like to work at TBSC (and live in Caracas), and five essential traits of an international educational leader. Please apply by sending a letter of application and an up to date CV to the Head of School, Yasir Patel, firstname.lastname@example.org.
An initial Skype conversation will take place for suitable candidates.
