Job overview

CRANBROOK SCHOOL
HEAD OF SENIOR SCHOOL / DEPUTY HEADMASTER

Established in 1918, Cranbrook School offers a distinctive, well-rounded education in the liberal tradition for boys Pre-school to Year 12, and for girls at Pre-school. A fully independent school, it was established with an Anglican ethos. Cranbrook recognises the specific landscape of the twenty-first century and aims to enable and encourage students to flourish within a world with fewer boundaries and greater competition. It is an IB PYP school and is a candidate school for the MYP.

With the appointment of Mr Tim Browning as Headmaster of St Peter’s College in Adelaide, Cranbrook School invites applications from experienced candidates with a background in Senior School management. The right person for this role will be a strong leader, well organised, with both academic and pastoral credibility, internationally minded, and a good fit with Cranbrook’s liberal excellence ethos.

Please obtain information about the position by calling the consultant assisting the School, Kathy McLean, of Fish & Nankivell, on 0414 376 698 or by emailing kathy@fnow.com.au.

Applications will close on Monday, 4 September 2017. A concurrent search is being conducted.

NOTE – YOU MUST BE AN AUSTRALIAN CITIZEN OR PERMANENT RESIDENT TO APPLY.

"Cranbrook is an Anglican independent day and boarding school for boys, Pre-school to Year 12. Our mission is to inspire each boy to realise his full potential and develop his strengths whatever they might be, whether academic, sporting or within the arts.
The name Cranbrook has become synonymous with an expectation that each boy is acknowledged as an individual and given the opportunity to develop his personal strengths and talents in an environment which is both supportive and nurturing.
Our aim is to provide a well-rounded and well-grounded education that embraces all aspects of a young boy’s intellectual, physical, emotional and spiritual development.
The School motto is esse quam videri. It means 'to be rather than to seem to be'; this resonates through all that we do.  "
