Head of Senior School

The English College, Dubai, is seeking an enthusiastic, experienced, and dynamic educational leader to provide leadership to the Senior School. Experienced in high-level operational and strategic planning, the Head of Senior School is a skilled instructional leader who will support and engage all stakeholders in the implementation of the School’s academic plan. 

Reporting to the Principal, the Head of Senior School has the overall responsibility for leading and overseeing academic, pastoral and extra-curricular programmes, and for managing day-to-day operations of the Senior School (Years 10 to 13). The Head of Senior School is proactive in ensuring academic excellence, creating conditions to   ensure the Senior School is focused first and foremost on effective teaching and learning. In addition, he/she provides leadership to students and teachers so that the tone, environment, and culture model the values and mission of The English College. The Head of Senior School will work closely with the Vice Principal and Heads of Primary and Middle School to support faculty with curriculum, learning and teaching, and assessment practices aligned to the School’s strategic priorities.

With a demonstrated track record in administrative management and educational leadership, the Head of Senior School is experienced in addressing and resolving complex issues and empowering a positive school culture. The successful candidate should ideally have a Master’s degree in an education related field, as well as successful experience as a Senior School Head or Deputy Head that includes leadership of the development of curriculum and assessment and policy formulation and implementation.
