This is an exciting opportunity to join our Academy, where putting students first is a fundamental part of our culture. We strongly believe that positive outcomes for our students come from the professionalism, commitment and passion for excellence displayed by our staff.

We are seeking an accomplished and motivated teacher to lead the introduction of Spanish as a new subject offer in our school. You will need to be an excellent classroom practitioner with a  track record of positive outcomes at GCSE and be looking for a new challenge. You might already have some experience of writing schemes of learning and planning for progression from age 7 to 16. 

You should have the enthusiasm and optimism needed to encourage a love of Spanish amongst the students and might also have an interest in developing school trips and enrichment experiences to enhance enjoyment and achievement.

Bridgwater College Academy is the only all-through mainstream Academy in Somerset and opened in 2012.  Student numbers are divided equally between Primary and Secondary phases; we also have a nursery provision too. The Academy was the first sponsored Academy within the Bridgwater and Taunton College Trust, which now hosts seven Academies and is itself set to continue to expand in the future.
