Job overview

We are seeking a forward-thinking leader who is also an outstanding teacher to join our Modern Languages department as Head of Spanish from September 2021.

The successful candidate will be a fully qualified teacher and, ideally, have experience of GCSE and A level qualifications and IB Diploma. You may be an experienced middle leader already but alternatively, this position might offer the first step into leadership for you.

The Spanish department at The BSN has a long record of high academic achievement in external examinations and takes great pride in its preparation for student university entrance. The uptake from KS3 has been excellent at GCSE and through to A level and IB. The department also runs and values a residential trip as a vital part of students’ learning experiences at the BSN. Our school also offers French and German languages through to KS5.

We are a 1 to 1 device school (MS Surface Pros) and an experience and interest in the to use of ed tech to enhance student learning and creativity is desirable.
