Wetherby Kensington is currently looking for a highly motivated, talented, dynamic and ambitious Head of Sport to join our team from September 2018.  

The Role   

The Head of Sport will take overall responsibility for all sports at Wetherby Kensington as well as encouraging a culture where boys can enjoy physical activity both in competitive and friendly sports. The Head of Sport is a key appointment and will be expected to provide excellent interpersonal management and have the ambition and vision to continue the development of this department.  This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has a genuine commitment to encouraging life-long participation in sport as well as the ability to co-ordinate PE, games, swimming and other sporting opportunities across all year groups  Experience of teaching in Early Years and Key Stages 1 and 2 is essential. What is also important is your ability to interact and support children in a positive way to foster their enthusiasm for learning and to have the skills and maturity required to take on the teaching duties and responsibilities in a new school.  

The School   

Wetherby Kensington is a two form, non-selective, pre-preparatory school for boys from Reception to Year 3. It follows exactly the same curriculum and shares the same values and ethos as Wetherby School and is an integral part of the Wetherby Group of schools. Boys at Wetherby Kensington receive very high levels of academic education and pastoral care. Wetherby Kensington is part of the Alpha Plus Group of schools, which is one of the country's leading educational groups.  

Salary   

The Alpha Plus Group has its own salary scale, which is above the Central London Maintained Scale. A salary at the appropriate point on the Teachers’ Scale will be offered to the successful candidate and will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
