The Kuala Lumpur Alice Smith School (KLASS) is fully accredited as a British School Overseas by the Department for Education in London, receiving an ‘Excellent’ grade from its recent inspection. Our school has an established reputation for excellence, and as a not-for-profit educational foundation, all resources are focused on the development and well-being of students. Located on two sites in Kuala Lumpur with excellent facilities, it has a total student population of approximately 1,600 and caters for the full age range from 3 to 18 years.

We have recently significantly expanded our sports facilities and we are delighted to have such world-class facilities for our students and wider community. They include an IAAF certified track, an Olympic size outdoor swimming pool, tennis courts, a small water based astroturf, two rugby/football fields, two large sports halls, a multi-purpose indoor space, a climbing/bouldering wall, a dance studio and a number of smaller gym spaces allowing for CrossFit, spinning and weight training sessions.
We are seeking an exceptional leader who has the vision, energy and drive to further develop our inclusive sporting provision. The candidate will be expected to review our current sporting programmes and identify areas for further development. The candidate will also be an experienced teacher of Physical Education across the secondary age range, with both GCSE and A Level experience.
The Head of Sport will report to the Director of Sport, and will work as part of a thriving secondary faculty and cross-campus team.
Candidates should also be committed to supporting an extensive extra-curricular programme which requires attending a number of weekend events both within Kuala Lumpur and overseas. Candidates will need to have the ability to coach in one or more of the following sports: basketball, volleyball, netball, football, rugby, athletics, badminton, gymnastics, tennis and hockey.
