Job overview

The post holder is accountable for leading and managing the College’s Student Recruitment, Information and Marketing function. Responsible for driving student engagement and recruitment activity to ensure a high quality service through each stage of the student recruitment process. Delivering a high quality student experience ensuring the College maintains a reputation for service excellence.


Responsible for the end to end management of student recruitment process from planning and delivering schools liaison and wider college marketing activities through to managing applications, interviews, offer and enrolment processes. The post-holder will ensure that robust quality assurance and monitoring systems are in place for the tracking, monitoring and reporting of each stage of the student journey. The role is also responsible for leading on the operational planning and delivery of the cross college student enrolment function.


The post-holder will be required to promote the college through media channels conducting media interviews as required and managing the production of information held on the college website and other channels including social media. Ensuring all content is compliant with branding and funding guidelines, is suitable, accurate and fit for purpose. The post-holder will be responsible for ensuring that the college’s website content is kept up to date, dynamic and the websites functionality meets the needs of users liaising with external technical support services for changes as required.


The post holder is responsible for the oversight and operational delivery of all core College recruitment activity and campaigns. This includes the procurement and on-going contract management of external marketing and public relations resources to develop, deliver and manage the college’s creative campaign, social media presence and external stakeholder interface.

Opened in 1992 after being formed from a number of colleges in the city we now have 5 locations situated in the heart of Liverpool. Currently the college serves more than a third of all 16-18 year olds in Liverpool, and educates almost 12,000 learners a year. In 2018 the college achieved a pass rate of 99.6% beating the national average of 97.6% for a-level results. Within this year as well we had a 100% pass rate in modern languages.

However, the college itself is not just facts and figures. The mission statement of provide high quality skills and education by delivering opportunities for growth to all people and business of the Liverpool City region, shows inclusivity and a community understanding. The ease in which to get here helps quite a lot to. Be it driving, buses, trains or even a ferry you are never short of options. 

Being that working/living in Liverpool does offer a wide range of experiences to have. Historical buildings like the Bombed out church, Royal court theatre house or even a hidden gem like the Bluecoat School lane which boasts being the oldest building in Liverpool. The Beatles museum is a popular place to explore the band and possible find bits out about them you might not have known. Or if just unwinding and relaxing there are multiple pubs/bars, restaurants, and comedy nights to enjoy.
