Tes is supporting the appointment of a Head of Theory of Knowledge (T.O.K) at an independent school based in Shanghai, China.

About the Role

The school seeks a well-qualified, caring and inspiring Head of T.O.K. for their Senior School (Years 7 to 13), with experience of teaching T.O.K. within the IB Diploma Programme. Candidates will also be expected to teach a second subject in which they are suitably qualified and experienced in. This is a rewarding opportunity to lead a strong and forward-looking departmental team in one of Asia's most established and reputable international schools.

Post-holder Qualifications, Experience

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE

  • University Degree in related subject
  • PGCE or equivalent in related subject
  • At least 2 years' experience teaching Theory of Knowledge to IB learners in a secondary school (Years 7 - 13)
  • Ability to teach a second subject up to IGCSE and/or IBDP level
  • Experience of leading colleagues to achieve a common goal
