Head of Upper School Modern Foreign Languages
We are seeking a highly qualified, enthusiastic and talented linguist is required to lead a well-integrated Modern Foreign Languages team offering German, French and Spanish, taking overall responsibility for the teaching of Modern Foreign Languages from the 3rd Form through to 6th Form. (Year 9 to 13) For the right candidate there may be the opportunity to Lead Modern Foreign Languages across the school.
You will be deeply committed to the success of every pupil and will have an excellent understanding of current educational thinking, demonstrating a proactive and innovative approach towards future developments in the subject.
The post represents an excellent opportunity for a teacher who can share their expertise and love of the subject, and teach lessons which inspire and enthuse our pupils. Equally important are personality, aptitude, and initiative, the ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively at all levels.
Salary is according to Wisbech Grammar School’s own scale.
The post-holder must be committed to the safeguarding and promotion of the welfare of young people.
All members of the teaching staff are expected to assume a pastoral role within the School and to contribute to the School’s extra-curricular and activities programmes which may include assisting in Sports or Duke of Edinburgh for example.
