The Academy is an all-through school in Wembley Park, set against the backdrop of the iconic Wembley Stadium, with excellent transport links.

About the role:

They are looking to appoint an excellent leader to join their Sixth Form as Head of Year 13. You would be joining a highly successful and competitive Key Stage 5 provider. They are looking for an ambitious leader who can take a key role in the day to day running of the sixth form through purposeful leadership by building strong relationships with students, parents and staff and continuing to drive up sixth form standards and destination ambitions.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Will be an outstanding teacher of their subject area.
  • Be experienced in raising attainment for this age group.
  • Have proven experience to work successfully with students of all abilities.
  • Be committed to Academy’s ethos of high expectations and no excuses and the belief that every child can succeed.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to:

  • become part of a team of an ‘Outstanding’ all-through academy
  • join a highly successful sixth form team that has an exceptional track record for training and developing teachers and student leaders
  • access continuous staff development. They have a minimum of 10 training days and weekly in school sessions of a high standard. They strongly support NPQML, NPQSL and Lead Practitioner course.
  •  join the network and a networkwide team of leaders including subject leadership network for both A level and BTEC
  • have access to a range of benefits including professional development opportunities, reduced gym membership and large retail discounts
  • Their successful behaviour policies treat student behaviour not as the responsibility of individual teachers, but of the entire school. This ensures as a teacher at the Academy, your time is never wasted dealing with discipline. Their students know what is expected of them, allowing both students and teachers to focus on learning.
