Situated in the prestigious Lozenets district of Sofia, preceded over by stunning views of the picturesque Vitosha mountain, St. George International School & Preschool is dedicated to the education and social development of students from ages 6-19.

The school is located on a brand new, custom built site. It boasts ‘world class’ state of the art facilities – including large classrooms with capped pupil numbers, an athletics track, indoor and outdoor basketball courts, indoor heated swimming pools, indoor and outdoor football pitches, tennis courts and other sports facilities, theatre hall, library etc. Staff are able to take advantage of this brand-new sports complex, and gyms upon starting the academic year with us.

St. George International School & Preschool aims to provide both Bulgarian, and International Qualifications following The Cambridge Primary and Lower Secondary Curriculum, IGCSE and A Level courses. We currently have a student body of just over 400 pupils, but envisage expansion up to 600 over the next three years.

We are seeking someone who:

• Is an experienced primary practitioner with at least 5 years of leadership with strong academic/assessment background.

• Will have a focus on further improvement of the teaching and learning in the primary section at St. George International School & Preschool.

• Will create an environment that promotes excellent teaching, effective learning and high standards of achievement.

• Is familiar with the current UK and International developments in data and assessment as well as teaching and learning.

• Has an excellent understanding of assessment, monitoring and evaluating of student data.

• Has experience of using data from internal assessments, standardised tests and external assessments to track student progress.

• Will lead our enthusiastic primary team and be a role model for students, staff and parents, doing this with energy, positive attitude and care for all members of our community.

• Has the ability to work effectively with the leadership team.

• Has excellent communication skills.

• Is a leader who places the well-being of all students first.
